Donald M. Bradshaw is a Senior Partner with Martin, Blanck & Associates, a federal health services consulting firm based in Falls Church, Virginia.

Dr. Bradshaw joined Martin, Blanck in October 2009 after a distinguished career as a military medical officer. Bradshaw brings extensive command experience, ground-breaking expertise as the Chairman of the initial task force that studied the needs of service members from current conflicts with mental health and traumatic brain injury, and substantive clinical quality management responsibilities. Bradshaw also has worked in leadership roles in the joint environment, having overseen the TRICARE Central Region of the United States. He also forged important relationships across federal agencies, in particular with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Augusta, Georgia.

As the Commanding General of the Southeast Regional Medical Command, Dr. Bradshaw led a healthcare system for four years with five hospitals and six clinics in seven different states and Puerto Rico, serving over 750,000 patients, with an annual budget exceeding $1 billion. Simultaneously, Dr. Bradshaw served as the Commanding General for the Eisenhower Army Medical Center, a teaching and referral hospital with four satellite clinics in three states, with an annual budget exceeding $225 million.

From 2003 until 2005, Dr. Bradshaw served as Commander of Fort Benning Medical Department Activity--a large Army Community Hospital with clinics in three states, serving 80,000 beneficiaries and annual budget exceeding $95 million.

Prior to that, Dr. Bradshaw served as Medical Director and then Lead Agent of the TRICARE Central Region from 2001-2003. He administered the tri-service Military Healthcare System’s Integration with the TRICARE Managed Care Support Contractor including management oversight and inspection for a $2.3 billon contract supporting 1.1 million beneficiaries at 26 tri-service military medical treatment facilities in 16 states.

Dr. Bradshaw’s previous work experience includes: command of the Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado; directing the medical staff of an Army hospital system in Germany; serving as the Chair of the Department of Family and Emergency Medicine for an Army Community Hospital; and serving as the Chair of multiple hospital level committees ranging from Quality Assurance to Drug Utilization Review to Credentials and Risk Management.

Dr. Bradshaw received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland; Masters of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington; and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois.

Dr. Bradshaw is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American College of Physician Executives.
