Philip Stalker, MD

Summary of Career Accomplishments:
Philip Stalker became a partner in Martin, Blanck and Associates in August 2010. Dr. Stalker is an internationally experienced clinician with extensive experience in both healthcare and non-healthcare activities. He has held numerous leadership positions during his 30 years of clinical practice, including Chief Medical Officer of a practice management company, president of a large single specialty group, service chief positions, and medical staff leadership positions. He has provided independent technology consulting services in both healthcare and non-healthcare settings. As a Consulting Physician Executive for Cerner Corporation he received the organization's highest accolade, the Cerner Masters Award, as well as consulting project excellence awards. His clients attained recognition as well, including HIMSS Stage 6 and 7 certifications and reference site status.

Dr. Stalker has consulted with many healthcare organizations, ranging in size from the largest to the smallest, during the implementation or optimization of Electronic Health Records, during Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) selection and implementation. He has also consulted with a variety of non-healthcare companies developing products or services for the healthcare marketplace. He led the implementation of pediatric radiology services in multiple inpatient and outpatient settings, and has consulted on the expansion of inpatient hospital pediatric services. He led the development of a major radiology utilization management program for a national managed-care organization, and helped to develop a regional network of more than 500 radiologists to provide cost-effective services for managed care entities. He is active in numerous professional organizations at both the local and national level.

Additional Qualifications and Memberships:
Dr. Stalker served as a physician in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, retiring in 1984 with the rank of Major. He holds an unrestricted medical license in Alabama. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Stalker received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in chemistry from Harvard College, and is a member of the Association of Harvard Chemists. He received his Doctor of Medicine with Highest Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, completing all course work towards a Master of Science in pharmacology. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, a residency in radiology at the University of Cincinnati, and a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where he served as Chief Fellow and held a clinical instructor appointment in pediatrics and radiology. He holds a Certificate in medical informatics from the American Medical Informatics Association, a Graduate Certificate in biomedical informatics from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, and a Master of Biomedical Informatics degree from OHSU. He is a lifetime member of the American Association for Physician Leadership, holding their certification in medical management.
