Summary of Career Accomplishments:
Fred Pang became a Senior Partner in Martin, Blanck & Associates in October 2009. Mr. Pang has over 40 years of service to the US federal government and the Department of Defense (DoD). He served as Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. He also held the positions of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Management Policy, and Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs. Prior to these appointments, he served as a professional staff member to the Senate Armed Services Committee.

During his distinguished career in the US Air Force, Mr. Pang completed tours of duty in Vietnam, at Headquarters US Air Force and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. There he served as Director of Officer and Enlisted Personnel Management and later as Director of Compensation. Following his Air Force service, he joined the professional staff of the US Senate Committee on Armed Services.

Additional Qualifications:
Prior to joining Martin, Blanck, Mr. Pang was the founder and owner of ViStar, a professional services and consulting business providing contract support to the DoD and other federal government agencies. He founded the company in 1997 immediately following his service as Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. In 2005, ViStar was acquired by Veritas Capital Partners and integrated into McNeil Technologies.

Mr. Pang received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii. While a member of the committee's staff, Mr. Pang completed the National and International Security Program at Harvard University.
